You may notice slight changes to the website. Primarily, the site will no longer focus only on issues at the school district. It will remain a huge part of the blog for the foreseeable future, but I feel it is time to broaden the purview.

With the departure of the former Superintendent being imminent, there is no longer a reason at the moment to narrow the scope. The reason for owing the domain remains the same, but as I talk to the community, I am finding a lot of issues exist on a community-wide basis. A broader scope will allow the public as a whole to gain insight into the operation of Mineral County and many of the issues that we face.

I think it is also important to focus on all issues within the community because it does ultimately impact academics and academics impacts the community at a later point in time. A whole picture solution is by far more productive than expecting a school district to not only clean up the mess left by the former Superintendent, but also single-handedly solve all of the student problems. It is also my belief that a lot of the problematic staff plaguing Mineral County will slowly vacate their positions, leaving more room for broader conversations than “who-did-it”
