Keith Neville pretends to be someone that cares about education. The reality is nothing is further from the truth. He continually favors cutting educational funding for everything except sports. He is also well-known for disagreeing with living wages for educators.

One specific instance, Keith Neville was lobbying to lay off staff and buy a new bus instead. He kept insisting that buses are always free. It didn’t matter that the law had changed, and there was no free bus to be had. His dear friend Diane Rodriguez was at his side, hovering up tax dollars, demanding that Keith got the free bus because it didn’t what the law said, the state would simply have to pay because they said so.

This isn’t to say that a new bus wasn’t warranted, the issue was that Keith Neville and Diane Rodriguez were desperately trying to circumvent the system and buy the bus on “the down low” with no input from the community or staff. If staff in the building hadn’t become aware of the heist, the school would be in even worse shape than it is today.

This isn’t the only heist either. Many of us remember the football field fiasco. Diane Rodriguez and Keith Neville circumvented the system again, snatching dollars from general fund to build the new football field. The football field that wasn’t usable because of the unsafe building and the lack of permits that Keith Neville insisted they didn’t need.

The free football field project had quite a cost to the capital fund, which probably would’ve been better served removing the mold infestations, or getting HVAC that worked more than a single digit percentage of the time.
