Today marks the end of a reign of terror that was bestowed onto the district in June 2021. I tried to find nice things to say about the outgoing Superintendent, but there was not anything to work with. The best I can come up with is I am sure several district office workers will miss him dearly.

Beginning Monday, out of control district employees will walk into a new atmosphere. It will be an atmosphere where education matters. More importantly and atmosphere where educators and educational support staff will begin to matter again.

It will also likely mark the end of an era where Hope Blinco’s personal hatred of educators will be contained. No longer will she have an easy time running off staff and applicants. She will likely be required to do her job, serve the staff.

I also believe will mark an era where transparency will return to the Mineral County School District. No. Longer will it be acceptable to keep the public and staff in the dark. Staff will no longer receive written warnings for exercising their lawful rights as a means of gagging people from the truth.

I am hopeful that budget committees will once again return to the district. Budget committees are required for the public and staff to understand where things are at, but also an opportunity for the Superintendent to gain valuable insight and feedback into priorities and deficiencies within the Mineral County School District.

The most important thing to me is the now Former Superintendent will no longer be able to misuse his position for his vendetta against me. He will no longer be able to get others to file for fictitious restraining orders, or otherwise spread false information about me. The amount of wasted resources that were expended on baseless accusations could’ve probably pushed academics forward instead of being a true waste of time.

So from me, farewell and my wish to the former Superintendent is he gets treated the way he treated others on his next adventure.
