One thing a lot of people don’t know is that when I left, I was not paid a dime of the month of leave that I had accumulated. I wasn’t paid despite Hope Blinco making sure she used her public position to get her daughter paid out. Her daughter was paid out despite clearly being ineligible for said payout.

The post is more about what the clown posse did when they sent me a check for my leave and then stopped payment on it. I had inquired numerous times about the payout of my leave like any normal person would. I was told they were looking into it. Well out of the blue, I got a check in the mail for almost exactly what my leave would’ve been.

I promptly cashed the check, sent a confirmation letter, and notified the unemployment office that I had received it. About a week later I got a notice from my bank that the Mineral County School District had stopped payment on the check. I sent both the school and the DA a letter advising that they broke the law by stopping payment on the check. Not very surprising, never received a response from either.

The main annoyance has been that I had to send all kinds of proof to the unemployment office showing this bounced malicious payment. The reason I have had to do this is so the money I never got isn’t deducted off my claim as monies received. I did receive a letter saying that because I was a classified employee I wasn’t eligible for a payout weeks after the check bounced.

They are yet to ever explain how Hope Blinco’s daughter held classified spot of less than 5 years was eligible for payment, but when I not a union eligible slot I am the one held to the bargaining agreement I didn’t fall under. I would be inclined to call her petty, but really it is just Hope Blinco being trash. A petty person would know better than to illegally bounce a check in revenge. A petty person would also realize their shenanigan just continues to build a case for her illegal, unethical, or otherwise behavior that is a chronic problem.
