As part of one of the fake investigations that Hope Blinco famously set up, I was subject to an investigation. I must admit it was quite gracious of the Mineral County School District to pay for the fake investigator to fly round trip from San Diego to pretend to investigate me. If I remember correctly, that investigator was best friends with the former DA.

The first issue with this particular investigation is I like a sucker had union representation rather than hiring an attorney. I was a younger fool back then that for whatever reason thought was actually an investigation that would find truth and take action. Instead the intent ended up being trying to make sure I wouldn’t tell anyone about the egregious behavior of the Human Resource Manager and the former Superintendent.

I found myself in the meeting with a union rep asking me more questions than the investigator. I also spent an entire hour with the fake investigator trying to twist my words into something that never happened. It was clearly an attempt to try and trap me into taking blame for a Superintendent that fled the scene and a HR Manager that suddenly had something pressing and couldn’t address potentially imminent risk to staff and students.

To make it the situation even more suspect, I was then asked to have a meeting at a local bar with the union representative. The part of this meeting that was so odd was could clearly see them pushing buttons on the phone, turning screen face down, facing the mic towards me, and then proceeding to ask me questions that had nothing to do with the issue.

The part the union representative wasn’t prepared for is that I brought my spouse with me. I may have been a younger fool, but was never stupid. After the whole fake investigation shakedown, there was never a chance that I was going to meet with anyone by myself. I could tell from the onset that there was a huge discomfort with me having a witness with me.

Rather than discussing the topic at hand, I was peppered with questions such as “Would you agree the Superintendent is incompetent”. If we had been at a lake would have been a fishing trip easily. At the conclusion of the whole bizarre encounter, nothing ever happened.

The Mineral County School District promptly covered up the whole incident, never gave an outcome to the investigation, and never took any action. I can only imagine the result was not favorable and so Hope Blinco buried it somewhere in her hoard of disorganization in her office. I may never know the true answer because that would require Andre Ponder and Hope Blinco to actually work, and we all know that will never happen.

As a side note, Andre Ponder was informed of the above and never did a single thing about it. It was like he just kept thinking I had the memory of a goldfish and would forget that he said he would look into it. He too spent more time avoiding work, than even doing the menial task of closure.
