It occurred to me that perhaps there are more stories or suspect incidences at Mineral County School District and Mineral County than I am even aware of. The barrier, in a lot of instances, is fear of retaliation. Based on my experience, the mafia-like atmosphere of the administrative building, the concern is not unwarranted.
One conundrum has been getting concerns from people. Not everyone can subscribe to the blog or post comments. It took some thinking, but I remembered a site that people would use to report suspect businesses for me to look into. That site is https://www.guerrillamail.com .
Guerrilla mail is a service that allows individuals to send information completely anonymously, requires no personal information or registration, and the email addresses expire in a relatively short period, making them inactive. The site is also good if trying to get a coupon for a website sale btw.
If anyone has things they would like me to look into, you can certainly use that and email me at admin@nvmcsd.com. You don’t have to give me personal details, but I will need something. I will need to know, as precisely as you can, what needs research. Knowing the time frames, departments, if purchases were made and from where, and if you know if the general fund or otherwise, and other identifiers of what I need to review.
I can only really look into things that are of public record. That means I can’t research student records, specific personnel files, or other confidential materials.
One of the current problems with the Mineral County School District is Hope Blinco requires babysitting at this point. Sadly, if I don’t have enough specifics, she is pretty clever at intentionally sending wrong info, not sending everything, or any number of scams that she tries to run, unsuccessfully. I am pretty good at spelling out what is included in and excluded from my requests, tying her hands. I have also gotten more proficient at requesting side documentation that can be used to determine if she gave me all the information.
