When you live in rural Nevada, you quickly find that miles are just a number. It represents a distance, but not necessarily the time that you are used to when compared to city miles. Seventy miles may only take you an hour, compared to three in the city.
As you go through patches where cellular service does not reach, your mind is slowly quieted. All the noise of the outside world fades away. There is nothing but large open spaces to enjoy and view as you are on your journey. In Nevada, we have open landscapes that change and shift as the miles go by.
It is fascinating how the culture from one location to another can vary so much. We all may be United, but every town has its very own traditions, festivals, and hot spots in Nevada. Corporate branding barely reaches out with sparse items such as a random McDonalds.
You quickly find the road less traveled is almost always in rural Nevada. Yo can travel fair distances without ever seeing another car. It is just you and the road.
